Fly Tying Scissors When fly tying a good quality pair of sharp scissor is essential. Most fly tyers have at least 2 pairs, one for all fine work and one for heavy duty work such as cutting wire and similar fly tying materials.
Bobbin Holders and Accessories Fly Tying Tools. Bobbin Holders are used to hold thread and keep tension when tying flies. To thread a bobbin you need a bobbin threader. Simply insert the wire from the threader through the hole of the bobbin and pass the thread through the wire loop. Pull out the threader and the bobbin is ready to use. When using wax threads the bobbin holder can get clogged. Using the bobbin cleaner removes the wax build up.
