Paul Proctor's pink hammer is a simple yet extremely effective trout fly on rivers. The fly represents emerging insects trapped in the meniscus whereupon trout feed on these insects heavily. This fly is not only easy to see at distance due to the pink wing post but gives a very high catch rate when fishing for rising brown trout and grayling. Paul Proctor has been featured in many different angling magazines and is considered one of the best river fly fisherman of his time. This is one of Paul's own fly patterns that is now part of the Crystal River collection.
