The Rainbow Cats Whisker is one of the best still water trout catching flies that I know of. I used to tie these trout flies in the hundreds selling to both local tackle outlets and fisheries and found it difficult to keep up with demand. The Cats Whisker fritz lure is now recognised as one of the all time greats and the inclusion of the rainbow bead really makes a huge difference especially with stockies. The rainbow bead really does make a great hitting spot. The fly itself is easy to tie although the rainbow bead will only fit on a competition light hook comfortably. Either try the fly or tie your own, they are worth the effort.
