The red tag spider is a traditional wet trout and grayling fly that has been effective in catching fish for over a century. Steve from CudaFly fishes this fly regularly on the river Dee in North Wales with great success. Steve's version uses hot red glo floss for the tail which increases the catch rate significantly. Fish this fly as you would any wet fly.
