We are also looking to set up a national competition this summer. If you or any of your readers who write bogs would like to come down and sample the fly fishing for carp at the FLE Fishery in Hampshire you are more than welcome too come fish free of charge. I have never tried using guard hair but I will be giving it a go soon. My favourite pattern is a black one and it never lets me down. Super fly and well tied, and as usual great post.
