Plenty of rainbow trout are being caught. Although fly hatches are sporadic , flies catching are dry sedge, black buzzers, diawl back, cats whiskers and orange lures. Rainbow trout being caught are on average 2 – 5lb and there has been plenty caught

Catches have been slightly slow with trout at 2 ½ lb the average, using cats whiskers, diawl backs, bloodworm.

Last restock last Thursday with mostly bigger trout of 4-9lb. A Cats whisker landed a 8 1/2lb rainbow trout for Harry Simpson from Southport . Average 3-4lb rainbows being caught on cats whisker, bloodworm ,egg flies and Montana’s, buzzers orange fritz.

Trout averaging 2-3lb on diawl back, bloodworm, black/red buzzers, cats whiskers, orange fritz. Due to the weather the fish are down deep so you will need to use either sinking lines or long leaders on a floater.
