Lead Bug CR2132

Lead Bug CR2132

£1.29 / $2.57

This fly is tied on a size 12 hook and is a general Nymph pattern. An under body of olive floss forms the tail and the front legs, the main body is even wraps of medium lead wire and an olive floss thorax and head completes the fly. This pattern can work well as a light stalking bug, the lead wire getting the fly down to the fish, the olive thorax and tail showing up in the clear water and helping take detection. Also it can be used as a traditional pattern on a team of three at a lake or reservoir. This fly will catch fish all season.

Lumi Montana CR2130

Lumi Montana CR2130

£1.10 / $2.19

This fly is tied on a size 10 hook and originally imitated a Stonefly Lava. As the name indicates, it hails from the state of Montana, USA, where it is used on the Yellowstone and Missouri rivers. In the UK it has proved a good fly on lakes and reservoirs, every bit of the fly, from the black chenille body to the Firefly Lumi thorax scream fish catcher. Cast to likely looking spots, using either a floating or sinking line, the retrieve can be very slow or extremely fast, all these options work, depending on the day. The pattern is suitable for use on lakes and can be used all season.

Lumi Ass Damsel CR2128

Lumi Ass Damsel CR2128

£1.10 / $2.19

A size 10 pattern representing a Damsel nymph. The tail is bright yellow polypropylene, the butt end of the body is orange fur, the front of the body is brown fur and it's all kept in order with a rib of gold wire. The fly is finished with a collar of olive marabou. This is not really a realistic pattern but more an impressionist fly, which works exceptionally well. From the fluttering of the marabou collar to the brightness of the "ass" end of the fly, all factors attract fish. This pattern is suitable for use on lakes and can be used all season.

Hot Head Hard CR2126

Hot Head Hard CR2126

£1.10 / $2.19

This pattern is tied on a size 10 hook and is a general nymph and attractor pattern. A Firefly yellow, hot head bead start this fly followed by an emerging yellow Antron wing. The rest of the fly is more conventional consisting of a gold ribbed hare's ear body and a tail of hair's ear guard hairs. Fished just subsurface, trout will take this pattern as an emerging sedge or an emerging pond or lake olive. Fished deeper on a sinking line, possible as part of a team, trout will take it as a nymph but also the bright colours will stimulate their aggressive instincts. This fly will be best used on a lake and can prove effective all season.

Woven Sparkle CR2125

Woven Sparkle CR2125

£1.10 / $2.19

A size 10 pattern imitating a Stonefly nymph. The split tail gives this fly a traditional Stonefly look but the sparkle woven body lifts this pattern. allowing it to do two jobs. It can take the traditional roll of a Stonefly, the sparkle indicating air bubbles as the fly rises to hatch but it can also prove to be an excellent attractor pattern. Fish this pattern just subsurface with a floating line and long leader or fish it deeper with a sinking line and a shorter leader. This pattern is suitable for use on lakes, rivers and streams and can be used all season.
